Tent RV use, care, maintenance tips and advice

RV awnings are a great feature to have on your RV. There are different types of tents and caravans have different purposes. We have curtains for doors and windows, the shadows on the window or door, offer RV. There are pull curtains to protect the roof to extract the debris and water. And there are patio blinds offer, the shadows, if you want to sit back and enjoy nature. The awnings on your RV for many years reliabletrouble-free operation, if you take the time to do some "preventative maintenance and cleaning.

The fabric used for awnings is made of vinyl or acrylic. Some tents are made of aluminum or vinyl wrap-around guard that the fabric of the time tent, if it protects in the driving position. When you open the awning for the first time a year, or if it was stored for a while, "have the tent for signs of mildew or stains to examine. Vinyl awnings are mildew. If 'Awning fabric is fairly clean, normal cleaning with a soft brush and soapy water. No oil or abrasive cleaners. And thoroughly clean both sides of the tent. For stubborn stains or mildew, there are after market close commercial cleaners made just for awning fabrics.

Note: Follow all the curtains and clean the manufacturer's instructions.

Examine the fabric tent for cracks or excessive wear. Not the awning when the fabricwet. Allow to dry thoroughly on both sides before it gone. You can clean the hardware, the same tent with the detergent used to wash the RV. While the tent, check the hardware tent. The brackets supporting the bottom of the tent most of the load from the awning. Check the lag screws in the awning brackets are tight. Make sure the curtain rod securely mounted on the side of the motorhome. For any damaged or defective parts before you repair the awning. In addition to cleaning and inspecting your awning there are a few things to keep in mind when the tent. A leader always lowertends to escape the water. The weight of waterlogging on the awning fabric can cause serious and expensive damage.

Wind gusts over 20 mph can be left unattended even severe damage to the tent and RV. Do not leave outside the tent. If a person to leave the campsite, store the awning in travel position. If you go to bed, keep the tent. Even if you are camping, use tent straps to avoid damage from sudden highWind gusts or a sudden storm. You can place your arms down and play tent on the ground, but you will get better support if they are attached brackets on the bottom of the tent, RV. Remember, it's much easier to take damage to your tent repair to prevent.
